Note to Families

Dear Families,

I wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you to have hope and courage during these uncertain times. I feel confident that the State Department and the Ethiopian Officials are doing everything possible to come to a quick solution and resolve. I would ask that you DO NOT send letters, photos, or petitions to them at this time. They are aware of the need of the orphan children and also the loving care and concern of the American families. We do not need to bombard them with anything that could be misconstrued as guilt or shame to the people or government of Ethiopia. I would ask rather that you be still and know that GOD is in control and is working on your behalf and behalf of the children of Ethiopia. Use your blogs, face book pages, and communications to point others to the one in whom we put our trust and hope. Encourage prayer and do not be moved by Satan’s smoke and mirrors…be confident that the LORD is at work. Use your words wisely and remind the enemy that you Trust God…God is Able…God is All Knowing; All Powerful…Mighty to Save and to Accomplish All that Concerns you. In due time we will have victory if we do not waiver. Remain steadfast and know that we are with you in faith and prayer!

For His Children; To His Glory,

Susan

A Season to Wait

Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.

So many of our families find themselves waiting...waiting for court; waiting for travel; waiting for answers. Please be encouraged. God is at work on your behalf and on behalf of your children. Let Him do a new thing in you during this season of waiting. Be built up in courage and faith. Trust in Him; Lean on Him alone. Do not look to the right or the left at what others have or what their journeys may look like. Instead, keep your eyes on Him; the perfector and author of your faith. In due time, all things will work together for your good...because He loves you and has a great plan for your life.

December Mercies!

What an amazing month we are having! In all, 10 Arise families will visit Ethiopia this month to either meet their children for the first time or to bring them safely home. We have been so blessed and honored to see God grow our program and to know that He has great plans for His children and this agency. Read our newsletter (on our website) to see our latest announcements and updates. As always, please join us in prayer, until all have homes.
